• The problem of extensive fossil fuel consumption. 
• The problem of lack of predictable and consistent renewable sources in the world energy mix, what translates to high power-to-X and energy storage needs. 
• The problem of freshwater scarcity around the world.

We provide a patented, low-tech, and modular system that consists of strings of energy collectors, that harvests the energy of the waves to produce clean energy and clean water. We offer a better renewable energy integration to the grid by providing a more predictable and consistent source complementing wind and solar energy. It will stabilize the power production profile, hence reduce the need for energy storage. Our system is non-intrusive, not spoiling the view and with no toxic material.

The Wavepiston business model is that of a technology provider of turn-key systems paid by the installed capacity and operation and maintenance (O&M) during the lifetime of the system. Due to the low-tech nature of the system, we ensure high local involvement in final assembly, installation and O&M.

We focus on three markets:

1. Islands and remote coastal communities for the supply of power and desalination.
2. Utility-scale system for offshore energy farms.
3. Utility-scale system for the supply of energy and/or high-pressure seawater to desalination plants.
