Globally, 2 billion people lack access to safe drinking water, and waterborne diseases cause more deaths each year than disasters and conflicts combined. SaWa provides safe drinking water due to its fast implementable, scalable, and easy-to-use solution. The purification process emits 500 times less Co2 per year than boiling water for sanitization. Though it not only reduces CO2 emissions, but also provides access to clean water, and tackles water-born diseases and deaths. It also reduces the medical costs per household and makes extra time available, especially for women and children, which they can use for generating income and educational activities, which is impossible with current disinfection processes.
