The main benefit of having an Ennogie solar roof is to reduce a building’s overall environmental and climate footprint by saving CO2 emissions and lowering electricity bills, all while maintaining an aesthetic roof design.
Ennogie has developed a smart energy solution to collect, distribute, and settle production and consumption data from the Ennogie solar roof, with a consequent distribution to the individual housing units. This is done by setting up smart meters and connecting them via a mobile data network in a platform and user interface for housing associations and individual residents.
Ennogie offers the opportunity for a cost-neutral roof replacement for a sustainable and active solar roof, whereby the modules of the solar roof make up the entire roof and the thermal envelope of the building while transforming sunlight into electricity. While the roof also produces electricity on overcast days, a battery stores the additional electricity that can be used after sunset.
